Description

-Solarcopter will be useful for a range of applications such as; surveillance, search and rescue, cheaper transportation, and even traffic management... and more to come the limitless human mind will innovate.
-In our competition you will learn how to build a solar quadcopter through two phases, mechanical, control and solar sessions, followed by workshops supported by our technical wizards, so you can reach the final phase and compete with your own flying broom and earn points during a race known as "Quaditch", that tests your quadcopter abilities, tricks, durability and usage solar energy.

Competition

-QUADITCH is the FIRST Solar-Copter RACE in EGYPT. It's solar quad-copter competition through a number of rings at different heights and diameters two teams will compete with each others to measure different skills by two rounds for each team at first phase(semifinals). the winning team will qualified to second phase where all teams desired to collect more points

First day : The teams will make a presentation and will have to send us a technical report about their solar quad copter.
Second Day : It will be the competition day and the winner will be decided according to a rule book it will be available soon.

Quaditch 1.0

-More than 1000 student have applied to participate in our event form universities all over Egypt.
-the sessions and the workshops we held was attended by 300 students 13 teams participated in our competition
-It was at Helwan university at the 15th of April 2017

Sessions

  • TRACK 1 ( SOLAR ENERGY ) :

    In solar energy sessions participants know all about solar energy concepts and PV "photovoltaic system" and CSP "concentrated solar power" and the components and design of systems and applications in their life.

  • TRACK 2 ( MECHANICS ) :

    In Mechanics sessions participants knew all about design and materials and how to select the material needed and explaining the "solid works".

  • TRACK 3 ( CONTROL ) :

    In control sessions participants knew how to control the quad and knew the difference between microprocessor and microcontroller and knew "Arduino" and "ardupilot"








  • After these sessions the teams will have workshops to start making their quad copters under the Technical support volunteers' help then each team will be qualified to join the competition.







  • -13 teams participated in our competition
    -The winner team was Tigers team
    - team Falak came in the second place
    - the third and last place was Ampere team

    The first place won a 5000 LE
    And the second 3000 LE
    And the third 2000 LE
  • -BEST TECHNIQUE at QUADITCH 2017 : ONE BINARY
    Team One Binary made their quad-copter at the lowest cost by picking the right materials at the best prices.

    -BEST DESIGN at QUADITCH 2017 : SEEKERS Team
    Team Seekers did a great job and showed an amazing spirit that deserves applauding.

    -BEST SPIRIT at QUADITCH 2017 is : VOLANT
    They were the first team to finish and fly their quad-copter, even though it broke before few days away from the competition.
